Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of MrStubs, a ticketing platform operated by Black Asterisk LLC ("MrStubs," "we"). By using the site you accept these Terms.

1. What MrStubs is

MrStubs is a marketplace that connects event organizers (sellers) with ticket buyers. We provide the platform; the organizer provides the event.

2. Roles

  • Organizer ↔ Buyer relationship. When you buy a ticket, your contract for the event itself is with the organizer. MrStubs is not the organizer and is not a party to that contract.
  • Buyer ↔ MrStubs relationship. Your contract with us covers your use of the platform itself: account, checkout, ticket delivery, support.
  • Organizer ↔ MrStubs relationship. Governed by the separate Organizer Agreement.

3. Payments

  • We use Stripe Connect. By buying or selling, you also accept Stripe's terms.
  • Stripe processes the charge, deducts processing fees, and routes funds to the organizer.
  • MrStubs charges a platform fee disclosed before checkout.
  • Currency, taxes, and Stripe fees are shown before you confirm payment.

4. Refunds

Refund authority sits with the organizer for each event. The organizer's refund rules appear on the event page before purchase.

5. Disputes and chargebacks

  1. Try the organizer first via your order page.
  2. If unresolved within 5 business days, contact [email protected].
  3. If still unresolved, you may pursue a chargeback through your card network.

Filing a chargeback without trying steps 1 and 2 may result in account restriction.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Resell tickets in violation of an organizer's rules or local law.
  • Use bots or scripts to buy tickets.
  • Upload malware or attempt to access accounts that aren't yours.
  • Misrepresent your identity or payment method.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate this section.

7. Account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Content

Organizers own their event content. Buyers own content they post (reviews, comments). You grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content as needed to run the platform.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how we handle it.

10. Accessibility

We work to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Report accessibility issues to [email protected] .

11. Disclaimers and liability

  • The platform is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that events will happen as advertised — that is the organizer's responsibility.
  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, MrStubs's total liability to you for platform-related claims is capped at the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in platform fees in the 12 months before the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law forbids it (for example, gross negligence, fraud, or consumer-protection rights you cannot waive).

12. Termination

You may close your account anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. Closure does not relieve either party of obligations that accrued before closure (for example, refund obligations or unpaid fees).

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of <JURISDICTION> without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts of <JURISDICTION> unless an applicable consumer-protection law gives you a different forum that you cannot waive.

14. Changes

We post changes here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes are also emailed to account holders. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
