Set up ticket types and capacities

Build ticket tiers that are easy for buyers to understand, set realistic capacities, and configure quantity rules that work for your event.

Add clear ticket tiers

In the Tickets and checkout section of the event editor, create the ticket types buyers should actually choose from. Keep the names short and distinct so the checkout does not feel confusing on mobile.

If you need more than one tier, order them in a way that makes the expected path obvious. The easiest tier to understand should appear first.

Set capacity and order rules

Each ticket tier should reflect real inventory and ordering limits. MrStubs lets you manage event capacity, ticket quantities, and minimum or maximum tickets per order from the same editor flow.

  • Use realistic quantities instead of placeholder inventory.
  • Set minimum and maximum tickets per order when you need guardrails for group sales.
  • If you are using reserved seating, keep tier logic aligned with the seating setup instead of duplicating capacity rules by hand.

Use urgency carefully

Scarcity can help buyers decide, but only if it reflects what is actually available. Sold out messaging, waitlists, and limited counts should stay truthful so support issues do not pile up later.
